Managing Director and Principal Consultant
Ben founded Paperplane from his home office in summer 2020. He has a degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a doctorate in Materials and Environmental Technology. A chartered engineer, Ben is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining.
Ben specialises in operational improvement and has a track record of delivering OTD, RFT and material yield improvement wherever he goes. Committed to the people he works with, he has taken more than 1,000 people through his PRIDE quality awareness and culture shift training.
His career has taken in spells in technical, quality and commercial with several leading businesses in the aerospace and refractory sector. With nearly 20 years of experience in manufacturing metals through investment casting, forging and precision machining, Ben can help your business put its best foot forward and make things happen better.
